Bolwell Car Company has opened the order books for its new Nagari sports car, with first deliveries due in 2009 at a price of AUD$198,000 (plus on-road costs).

Construction is well advanced of the first batch of production Nagaris, with the first Nagari (Chassis number 0001) going to a buyer in Western Australia.

Bolwell plans to stage special demonstration days early in 2009 for confirmed Nagari buyers to have their first hands-on experience of the production Nagari.

Specifications for the production car confirm it is true to Campbell Bolwell’s dream of producing a very high-performance sports car that will also double as a comfortable, roomy and well-equipped daily driver. DOWNLOAD SPECIFICATIONS (PDF)

During the 1950's a young Campbell Bolwell and his two brothers, Winston and Graeme, were like most young red blooded Aussie males who loved cars, mostly fast cars. Also like most of their peers, they had to either borrow someone else's or build their own, which they did. One of Australia 's sports car legends was re-born in February when the all-new Bolwell Nagari was revealed at the Melbourne International Motor Show. (Pete Dillon, ABC Melbourne)

The official launch of our 2008 Nagari!

"...A single frontal image reveals sleek, low-slung lines with generous glass areas and classic mid-engined sports car styling.
The faired-in, four-headlight front end echoes the legendary McLaren F1, while other elements capture the spirit of the best Italian mid-engined exotics.
As intended by its creator Campbell Bolwell, the styling also pays homage to the original Nagari of the 1970s, particularly in the rising, curvaceous hip line and the tunnel-back rear window.

We were all amazed and humbled by the enormous amount of good will and public support we recieved at this years Motorshow. We don't have the exact attendance figures but judging by the expected ticket sales beforehand and the 'lockout' weekends, I suspect it was around the 250,000 mark....and yes, thankyou, we'll accept the prize of ' most photographed car' at the show - judging by the continuous clicking of digi cameras around the stand.
